Harmony in Simplicity: Minimalist German Artist and Producer @der_tho_official
The moods this week were set by German artist Thomas Vorwerg (@ der_tho_official) . We absolutely love the serenity and vibrancy of his photos through his page @der_tho , and we also love that his talents extend into the world of music. Thomas has a soundcloud page where under the name, dynatho, he produces electronic music with a smooth vibe that provides a fitting soundscape to his other works. You can check out more from Thomas below.
The Warmth of São Paulo Vibes
With each passing day we are further reminded that brisk air will soon woosh down from the mountain tops, and blanket the city, forcing sweaters and jackets out of hibernation. As excited as we are to get jackets flowing through our essential wardrobe again, we can’t help but continue to hold on to the waning summer sun. São Paulo, Brazil provides the inspiration while 70’s disco band CHIC and Musician saib. (@saib_eats) capture the vibe and provide the melodies. Join us.

Coffee & Monologues
What little morning rituals do you have? We are assuming for most that coffee would be a part of that routine, and indeed coffee continues to be a part of our morning routine as well. However, over the last five months, another item that was a part of our morning routine was MIA, laughter. We are referring specifically to the laughter provided by television late-night hosts and their monologues, which had become a nice addition to mornings abroad through the years. Their ability to interpret the news and stories through their own distinctive styles, lenses and bits has always been more than just a small joy accompanying a cup of coffee and daily agenda overview.
Five late night hosts, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, John Oliver, Seth Meyers, and Jimmy Fallon, got together to create a podcast to raise money for their out of work writers and staff. Enter the Strike Force Five. Although the strike has now ended, the podcast is and has been a joy to listen to, and we cannot wait to follow the limited series to its conclusion.
It’s always an interesting experience to assemble five comedians together in one room, and aside from the joy felt in getting to hear their voices again during our morning routine, getting behind the curtain to hear their personal on-air and behind the scenes anecdotes, as well as stories along their journeys through the industry has been quite interesting and encouraging.
Moreover, their willingness and ability to put together an initiative to help their staff and writers during troubling times speaks volumes about their characters. We support their efforts and are happy to have them back bringing smiles to our faces. You can check out Strike Force Five below. If you have already had a chance to listen, let us know what you think in the comments.
